It is about sharing knowledge about false codes which don't work and true codes which do. It is learning to read the codes in our own heart as well as those around us. annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.comBlogger14125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-86503446833226831722023-11-06T20:26:00.001-08:002023-11-06T20:26:20.322-08:00
It's Growing!

Hey all looking to learn and teach. There is a tsunami of new consciousness out there. First the concept of consciousness itself is finally hitting the radar in science. This is alongside the linked view that spacetime is not fundamental. Donald Hoffman and his co workers argue that space time is part of our "headset" our way of seeing and is not fundamental . Hoffman argues that using evolutionary game theory it can be demonstrated that if evolutionary theory is correct (and it isn't but it is widely believed to be n the Academy and more widely) then the probability that we see Reality as it is is precisely 0. Since evolutionary theory like most of current thinking implies spacetime this shows that spacetime is not fundamental. Donald Hoffman proposes instead that consciousness is fundamental and has developed a mathematical model of what he calls conscious agents. It turns out this model using Markovian dynamics can be mapped into the geometries of Decorated Permutations. The geometries of spacetime can then apparently be derived from these as a special case. Decorated Permutations are among other things the geometries that can be used to elegantly and simply describe the scattering amplitudes. These are the particles and their components which are generated by the Hadron Collider.

Another direction comes from quantum physics. Nima Arkani-Hamed and other quantum physicists argue that space time is "doomed" as a view of the fundamental nature of the Universe. This is according to the most evidenced and most mathematically rigorous theories of reality which we have so far which is quantum physics. That local realism is false has now been experimentally demonstrated by the 3 quantum physicists who won the 2022 Nobel Prize in physics: Alain Aspect Anton Zellinger and John Clauser. Local realism consists of two related views. The "local" part is the view that the speed of light is the limit to which matter can be accelerated in the material realm and so there cannot be "action at a distance". Instead the three Nobel prize winners demonstrated that entangled quantum particles interact instantaneously therefore faster than light over any distance even the furthest reaches of the Universe. Secondly the "realism" part is that objects exist whether we are observing them or not. Local realism assumes spacetime is fundamental. Quantum theory says the limit for observing (measuring) time using the widely recognised Planck scale is 10 to the minus 44. The limit for observing (measuring) space is 10 to the minus 34. That means that given mathematical assumptions about gravity according to Einstein's General Relativity it makes no sense to talk about observation or measurement beyond these very small but finite limits. They can be given no operational or practical meaning.

Hoffman takes the leap following many other seekers of Truth before him: the view that consciousness is fundamental. Consciousness is then not within space time but outside of it. Like all good scientific theories it must be made mathematically rigorous so it can be proven to be right or wrong theoretically and experimentally. He and his colleagues have devised the theory of conscious agents just so.

So what? The assumption that spacetime is fundamental have extraordinary and profound consequences. For instance if there is no space time there is no separation and no lack. We are all connected and everything is abundantly supplied. This may seem counterintuitive to all except "god botherers" as Martin Shaw so nicely calls them. The many NDE reports (I heard an estimate that 40 million people have come forward world wide to talk about their NDE's) and the University of Virginia has had a 60 years program headed by Bruce Reyson investigating NDE's from a scientific viewpoint. Do your own research. I guarantee if you talk to 10 people in your circle at least 2 if not all are likely to have had NDE's or closely associated STE's (spiritually transformative experiences) including out of body experience , mystical experiences of union with the cosmos and experiences of great peace and wellbeing linked to a completely new idea of who the "I" is.

To end on a personal note. Some years ago now I wanted to have an out of body experiences. I had by then followed many new age trails and had many different and wondrful spiritual experiences. I knew God was real from time I was about 8 years old but no one around me including the dear religious folk at the convent I attended seemed to have His cell. Unlike Depeche Mode they did not seem to have their "own personal Jesus". So I read up and tried for about 6 months, had some very bizarre experiences including once in the middle of the night getting as far as my toes and panicking and not being able to move my body for half an hour. But one sunny Monday afternoon in Eltham lying on the bed the "rocking" that I had read about finally flipped me out of my body. I had a wonderful experience I have never forgotten which seemed like it was a trip back to a previous incarnation in Vienna at the turn of the century. I saw my body asleep on the bed before I went on my journey beyond spacetime. I have never forgotten the details of that experience. And it showed me definitively that I was not my body.

So here's to journeys in and out of the body to science, spirituality and Youtube where people generously share their stories for free.

And all you need is Love .......... as some wise men said.

t

annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-34004363881054824172020-12-04T03:17:00.000-08:002020-12-04T03:17:48.916-08:00No Fear
It's been a while.....post covid. Who would have thought? Scripture which is Spirit- inspired teachings says many times Don't fear for I am with you and adds I will deliver you. This means amongst other things I will come and get you out of whatever trouble you are in. As Job said man is born to trouble as the sparks fly upwards. But perfected matured Love casts out fear. Flushes it out. Like waste. Not needed.

What is the source of fear? It is believing we are alone. That Spirit is not real or if Spirit is real is punitive unpredictable cranky. And you never know what Spirit can do: sometimes heal sometimes not. Hurt you or your kids to "teach you something". And we know that we are by ourselves helpless and alone. Our science seems to confirm that we are an insignificant speck in an infinite waste of cold unfeeling galaxies and stars. They look amazing but they don't care.

I don't believe this to be true. Because one day walking back from the beach track in Seaford where I was living I met the great being who I knew was the one who had been Jesus of Nazareth. And I wasn't at that time a "Christian". I had been raised Catholic. I had been looking for God since I was 8 years (roughly). I did the things the nuns said. I tried to read the Bible but couldn't get past the begats. I had a luminous plastic statue of Mother Mary next to my bed which glowed in the dark and freaked me out. I knew they didn't know God because some of them were very mean. I went to mass by myself (since my parents were atheists) till I was 14 then decided I didn't care if I went to hell I wasn't going any more. I gave my heart to the Lord at a Billy Graham convention at 16 and 1/2 but when I went to the local Anglican church the following Sunday it consisted of 4 very old people and a bored preacher. So I went on a search through the New Age and was a Sufi for 10 years. But it didn't get me there. I couldn't connect to Spirit. It did help me wake up spiritually though. So when I met the Lord I knew who it was. I didn't see Him (He was a male) with my outer eyes but in the Spirit.

He said something I didn't understand with my intellect but completely got with my inner self: He asked me: Do you want me to come into your heart? I was so ready. I said Yes. I had tried everything and had hit the spiritual glass ceiling. I knew Spirit was on the other side but couldn't get there. I had as they say come to the end of myself. I felt Him come into my aura. Not intrusive but a definite merging. At that point I started watching Christian TV and understanding what they were talking about and I started reading and studying the Bible. There are many things to be said about the Bible. However if we read it under inspiration then it documents Spirit's laws, helps us understand Spirit's ways and above all is a portal which gives us a connection to Spirit.

I said all that to say this: I started learning how not to fear. I no longer felt alone. Spirit is real and he did come and get me out of there. Now this was a few years ago and I continue to learn and grow as I will through all eternity. I started changing on the inside and the outside. I started learning about divine healing and how to apply spiritual laws to finances amongst other things. This was helped by many mentors who had learned and applied these laws and were called to teach them.

I am a psychotherapist and psychology teaches how to manage fear. But the goal is to have no fear. And it is achievable. We are not alone.

annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-70640919316310169272019-01-02T15:44:00.000-08:002019-01-02T15:44:40.760-08:00What about evil?What about evil?

Evil is the elephant in the room. Back in the 80's Scott Peck wrote an excellent book on the therapeutic journey called The Road Less Travelled which was a great success. He followed up with a book called People of the Lie which simply dropped off the radar. It was about 30 years ahead of its time. Firstly as a child psychiatrist he noticed that some of the parents of the children he worked with had two significant qualities: 1. they always blamed the child and took no responsibility (the big lie) and 2. they were very concerned about appearances. He called these people evil. His solution was also a little off putting to many. He turned to the only place that seemed to have any answers in regard to dealing with evil. These were religious institutions who practised exorcism as a solution to the problem of evil.

Psychology and psychiatry have used the label "psychopath" later softened to "sociopath. The problem was it was simply a label not a diagnosis. It certainly described behaviours which included the ones Scott Peck noticed, together with others such as they appear to be cold charming manipulative and like to hurt people. It seemed to be implying that this condition was a psychological condition with possible treatment along with depression and anxiety. However there was no real understanding of the condition nor was there any treatment.

Then in 2011 BBC Horizon ran a documentary called "Are you good or evil". You can watch it on Vimeo. Everyone should see. It is cutting edge science. There are many interesting things about things documentary but two stand out: firstly it is cutting edge science using neuroscience and the technology of brain scans as well as scientific investigation into the chemicals that seem to be present or absent which are related to compassion. The key thing is that it is proposing that evil is fundamentally a genetic disorder like Huntington's disease or spina bifida, not a psychological one. Everyone should watch this video. The documentary explored two groups serial killers and CEO's of companies: 25% of the CEO's had the distinctive brain pattern. What is not yet known is how this is distributed in the general population.

As a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist as well as spiritual seeker, I deal with the nature and effects of evil behaviour as reported to me by my clients ranging in ages from 8 to 80. I have been working in the area of developmental trauma (early abuse and deprivation) for over 25 years. I have heard consistent and awful stories of the behaviour of people to their children and to their partners. I have done a considerable amount of workplace counselling so there is also the bullying and persecuting behaviour of people in the workplace to employees staff and co workers.

Evil is real. As a genetic disorder we do not have solutions or treatments at this time: we don't yet do brain transplants. A scientist is working on synthesising compassion chemicals and scientists are able to change the DNA of organisms. People who have the genetic disorder usually do not think there is anything wrong with them and blame others (as Scott Peck noted). They would not voluntarily seek out treatment. Unless they break the law they are unlikely to get caught. My hunch is that they are more widely distributed in the gene pool than we might think, looking at human history and current human behaviour. The really challenging news is that we all have some corrupted genes: we all have evil within us to some degree as well.

Ultimately I believe that the question of evil is a spiritual question with spiritual answers. This simply means our science has not yet fully caught up since scientific knowledge usually takes time to catch up with spiritual knowledge. In the spiritual law in Isaiah it is stated that time can travel backwards or forwards. This knowledge did not emerge fully into Western Science till the early 1900's with the understanding of the arrow of time not operating at the quantum level (and going only forwards as time appears to.

Our science now says evil is real: a genetic disorder that can be identified. Scientists are looking for answers. Psychology and the study of human nature has much to say about evil inside as well as outside of us. It is something Jung wrote about in depth and often as did his peers like Robert Assagioli and Sigmund Freud. We cannot look into evil without looking into human consciousness and what Joseph Conrad rightly termed "The Heart of Darkness". One of the best portrayals of evil has be Marlon Brando's portrayal of the colonel in Apocalypse Now. The question is Where do we go from here?annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-87187844678923920602018-05-07T23:23:00.000-07:002018-05-10T19:09:43.085-07:00Good or evil?BBC Horizon made a ground breaking documentary about 5 years ago. Google [ "Are you good or evil?" youtube 1hr documentary] to find it. Everyone should see it. It is presenting cutting edge scientific evidence that evil is a genetic disorder. Why does this matter? Firstly because it means evil is real and identifiable even if we don't yet have the technology to do anything about it. Secondly because it means it is not just a moral or religious judgement and thirdly because it means it is not just a psychological problem and the result of a bad childhood. We cannot fix a problem if we don't know what we are dealing with. As a matter of interest science has again caught up with teachings from the spiritual law. Jesus said that there were two species wheat and darnel. Darnel is a weed that looks like wheat when it is green. It is invasive and destructive and intertwines its roots with the wheat and kills it. When it matures it is black upright and twisted unlike wheat which is golden and bowed down with grain. The metaphor of "intertwined" is interesting. Firstly the evil is in the gene pool in the DNA. Not only has science found that it is possible to change the DNA when it was thought previously it couldn't be changed, and not only can it be changed in one generation but scientists using scissor enzymes are working on changing the DNA in small organisms. There is another connotation to intertwined: that the darnel and wheat the good and evil ones are interwoven into our families and our communities.

According to the documentary people who are termed evil have a different brain pattern that can be recognised by amongst other things gaps in the frontal lobe which governs cognitive functions, an extra gene called the "warrior" gene and a lack of chemicals associated with compassion. Two groups were looked at serial killers and CEO's of companies. It turned out 25% of this latter group had the different brain pattern. There are scientists working on synthesising compassion chemicals and maybe one day soon we will be able to do brain transplants or give people compassion injections. In the meantime they are people who are characterised by coldness and emotional and physical violence to others. They seem to like seeing people suffer. If they rule a country they cause havoc. If they have a family they are extremely destructive to their children. Especially as seems to often happen they marry someone like themselves. They are very good actors and often are involved in church groups and on the local Council and use philanthropic activities as a cover because they know people don't like the way they really are. They generally don't think there is anything wrong with them and tend to blame others including their children for their behaviour. Back in the 80's Scott Peck the author of The Road Less Travelled and a child psychiatrist wrote a book called People of the Lie. He used the term evil to describe the parents of the children he worked with. He noticed two characteristics they shared: they blamed others and they were very concerned about appearances. The book was ahead of its time and "dropped off the radar".

The BBC documentary goes to a place of compassion. There was a court case in Tennessee where a man committed a horrible violent crime A psychiatrist presented the evidence of his genetic condition and in a landmark decision the jury came back with a finding of involuntary manslaughter on the grounds that the man couldn't help what he did. He couldn't help his genes or the horrible childhood he had which may have potentiated his genes even more. But he was never to be released. Compassion is the order of the day since people cannot help and do not want to help their genetic disorder. However these people are dangerous. And they are not just in some other country or some other decade they are here now and in our workplaces and families and communities.

I have strong spiritual beliefs. Light is stronger than darkness and good stronger than evil. Evil isn't sustainable because it destroys the host. It is temporary. I believe the spiritual technology is already available to deal with this condition: it is the state of transformation called "being born again". I have experienced it and know of others who have been radically transformed Science is working on catching up.annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-6089464866009888022018-04-11T15:39:00.001-07:002018-04-11T15:39:30.592-07:00Spiritual laws: the CodesSpiritual laws are real like physical laws. They exist whether people know about them or not. The law of cause and effect is a special case of the spiritual law of "what goes around comes around" or the law of seed and harvest: plant corn you get corn. Plant thistles you get thistles. The laws of physics were just as true 10,000 years ago as they are today: it is just that no one knew about the laws of gravity and thrust or had the technology to build an aeroplane. Though some dreamed like Da Vinci with his gyrocopter or Jules Verne writing about travelling to the moon.

Spiritual laws are higher order laws, that means they govern lower order laws like the laws of physics. Just like the laws of the quantum realm which we can't see govern the natural world which we can see. Quantum mechanics is the most supported scientific theory that has been to this point. Spiritual laws today are roughly like the laws of physics were 10 000 years ago: they existed but very few knew about them then . Most do not know about or understand spiritual laws today. Spiritual laws are the codes or formulas which govern for right living. Breaking them doesn't lead to punishment. It leads to consequences. If we jump off a roof gravity dictates we will fall. It isn't anyone punishing us though the pain we feel may seem like it. Gravity applies to everyone all the time. Knowing about gravity however not only stops you trying to jump off things without a parachute it can ,together with other information, help you to fly.

The main spiritual law is the law of seed and harvest. It is clearly reflected in the natural law and every farmer knows about it. You sow what you reap: other things being equal. As a spiritual law however it is even more significant. The spiritual law says this: the "seeds" are the words we speak not only out loud but inside ourselves. if we want good "crop" we speak good words. If we don't we will produce the result of bad words: a bad crop. What goes around comes around.

Just as a farmer couldn't possibly be successful if he didn't know that seeds reproduce in the natural so we cannot be successful in life if we don't understand that what we say matters! Not just what we say out loud but what we dwell on in our hearts and minds, what we mull over, obsess about at 4am going over and over in our minds. These words are seeds. They create the conditions that produce what we are pondering on. If we continually dwell on fear words and sickness words and words of not having enough or negative words about other people that is exactly what will be created in our environment over time including the environment in our body which we call our health and well being. As Joyce Meyer a great teacher of the spiritual law said: unforgiveness is like taking poison and hoping someone else will die! If on the other hand we dwell on good words true words positive words uplifting words compassionate words then that is what will be created both within and without ourselves.

There is however an important proviso: just exercising what we call "positive thinking" and "affirmations" will not undo the usually unconscious negative words we might be saying in our deepest being. Our unconscious which we may be unaware of always rules the conscious. Our unconscious is our operating system. If it is faulty we have to fix it otherwise the positive thinking will not override it. Just like with the computer: if we have operating system problems which we cannot see we cannot fix them by doing things on the screen we can see We have to know that there is an operating system (some don't) we have to know how to get in there (some do) and we have to know how to to navigate through the blue screens to find and fix the faulty instructions (relatively few know how to do this )

We have to get in touch with our unconscious our operating systems and change faulty instructions and replace outdated drivers. Our beliefs are programmed in. They can be wrong no matter how passionately we hold to them. The earth is not flat and coloured people (yellow black or red) are not inferior to white people. We can learn to re program. We were programmed through repetition and corresponding actions. We can re program the same way. Find a good coach someone who can help you if necessary. Most of us come from deeply troubled families as Bessel Van Der Kolk's study on Developmental Trauma showed. His book the Body Keeps Score is a great resource on programming and reprogramming.

Spiritual laws embed spiritual Truth. Truths work and lies don't. If we align our words with spiritual truths like Do unto others as you would have them do unto you: and speak them to ourselves and act on them they must come to pass. It is spiritual law as inevitable as the law of gravity that says if you jump off a roof you will fall or if you build an aeroplane according to laws of gravity and thrust you will fly. Better to fly than fall. annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-42657182876764069692018-03-29T14:52:00.001-07:002018-03-30T03:12:09.327-07:00Why Codebreaking?Life can seem like a code to which someone forgot to give us the key. It can then seem full of mystery (and not in a good way). It can be challenging difficult and frustrating and painful. And we can't find the key to deciphering it though we try and no one else really seems to know either. Or we are sidetracked from looking for the code or we are told there isn't one. Because the life codes are actually within us as well as all around us. But we need to have some basic information about how you recognise and decipher them. It isn't that difficult but someone has to tell you. An example is learning to listen to our own inner guidance. This is as fundamental code and is something that will guide you right even when other people or our programmed beliefs from childhood and from what we have learned tells us differently. If we do learn to listen though and act on our inner guidance and do it consistently it will lead us right. Every time. So that is a true code: to learn to listen to ourselves.

But in families that are stressful and troubled which the latest research indicates is probably most families, we grow up disconnected from ourselves. So we are not able to listen to ourselves. We are then lost. Our heads are full of information and mis-information. And we cannot tell the difference. True knowing is experiential. It is what Peter Levine an animal physiologist and traumatologist calls the "felt sense". It is what Aristotle called wisdom: knowledge- in- action. It is personal knowing which no one can give you and no one can take away. Knowing the true code is not just an intellectual thing like knowing who was the 15th president of the United States. It is knowing in our heart our gut it is experiential personal knowing. If we know something in this way we will act on it. Knowledge which has no application in life has no value. If something is right it works if it is wrong it doesn't Truth works. Lies don't.

So why codebreaking? It is so we can have successful fulfilled lives instead of feeling that life is incomprehensible and disturbing. When we start codebreaking we start feeling that we are part of life. And part of a greater Life. We feel connected. We feel connected to the animals and plants around us, we feel connected to ourselves and to other people. There is a felt sense of belonging not as for many people a sense of isolation and alienation. And a terrifying crushing loneliness. Like we are looking at life through a plate glass window.

Instead you know that when the birds come in the morning they have come to say hello to you. That when the koala turns up outside your front door and starts his song it is because he is letting you know that he is there so you can come out and say Hi to him. Or as I do sing him my song. It is knowing that the magpie sitting on the dog pen with fishing line wound around his foot he has come to let you know that his foot is sore and he expects you to do something about it. Of course you do.

The spiritual law is written in our hearts and it is evident around us in Nature. It is also contained in what is called the Bible though there is a true code to it being revealed. It can only be discerned by a spiritually awakened heart. This is a true code. And what is revealed are the spiritual laws the codes for an effective life. Spiritual laws work and religious laws don't. The spiritual law says we don't feel whole unless we are connected to the natural environment because we are part of those living organisms and beings and they are part of us. For us to be whole we have to be in union with the living beings that comprise our biosphere. One of the great Native American chiefs Sitting Bull wrote in a letter to the American Government about the destruction of the land: if people get too far from nature they get crazy. That is absolutely true. So the answer to the question Why codebreaking? is so that we can learn the true codes and make life the successful joyful adventure it is supposed to be and learn to recognise false codes so we are not misled..
We are a spirit with a soul in a body. I spent 6 months trying to have an "out of body" experience. I had some strange things happen including getting stuck at my feet and coming back in my body and not being able to move for what seemed like a very long time: probably about half an hour. But one sunny afternoon in Eltham I flipped out of my body and went off on a journey leaving my body lying on the bed. I seemed to go back in time to Vienna around the turn of the century and following the sound of a piano saw some hands playing the piano and they were old hands. I realised they were mine. I then looked out through the thick red velvet curtains on the street and saw horses and carriages. Then I came back into my body. I never felt the need to do it again. I found I can travel further and easier with the mind. But I learned that I definitely was not my body. Many cultures and all spiritual paths talk of leaving the body and of "astral" travel.
How do we know we are a spirit? the same way we know we are alive. It is not something that can be justified by reasons. It is experiential knowledge: personal knowing that can only come from experience. It is what Peter Levine calls "the felt sense" a whole body awareness not an opinion or an idea which is intellectual. Experiential knowing cannot be transferred. If someone doesn't believe they are a spirit you cannot persuade them. It is like eating a peach: if someone hasn't eaten a peach you might be good at describing the experience but they will have to eat a peach for themselves to find out what that experience is like.
In the terms of modern physics matter and energy are interchangeable (E =m multiplied by c (the speed of light 186,000 miles per second) squared). Thank you to dear Albert (Einstein). What we see with our senses as solid matter is really according to quantum physics vibrating packets of energy with large spaces in between. According to the latest view in quantum physics the fundamentals of matter are not teensy weensy particles or quanta but rather can only be described in terms of the qualities of sound: frequency and amplitude.. Basically this means the fundamentals of matter can only be described in terms that describes sound waves: frequency: how fast are the waves are coming and amplitude: how big they are. This would be no surprise to Hindu teachings on spirituality which has since the Vedas were written 10,000 years ago regarded Sound as the basis of Creation. Neither would it surprise Christians Jews or any who reads the Codebook we call the Bible: Genesis 1:1 says: "In the beginning was the Word......". A Word is Sound made by a voice. So to say we are a spirit is to say we are energy vibrating at a higher frequency in a body which is energy vibrating at a lower frequency.

However there are huge ramifications to accepting that we are spirits in a body. As someone said the body is our "earth suit" we can't live on the earth without one. How did we get here? Where were we before we were in the body and where are we going after we leave the body? What is our relationship to the Great Spirit as the Native Americans so aptly call the Spirit? If we are a spirit with consciousness and awareness are other beings such as plants and animals also spirits in bodies? Many would say undeniably Yes. I know my dog Grace has a soul and is an "angel with fur" and a spirit.
I know that my German Shepherd girl Taj who came to visit me often after she passed and was seen by friends and family members) is definitely a spirit. And can we commune with what people call the Universe (rather than using the religiously loaded term God)? God is actually derived from a German word Gott which means a supreme being whoever and whatever we conceive them to be. I prefer the Hebrew Yahweh: when this is translated it means the yearning burning passionate one (Yah) who manifested or fell from a higher to a lower place (hayah) by the Breath (ruach or spirit in Hebrew) which refers to the spoken Word. Why? to make things whole. The word translated incompletely as "save" means make whole in both Hebrew (yasha) and Greek (sozo). Nice thought.
Sometimes we spend a lot of time searching for something which is right under or sometimes right on our noses (like glasses). The spiritual law says the Word is close to you: in your mouth and in your heart (Romans 10:8). Rumi the great mystic Sufi poet wrote "My love, you are closer to me than myself" talking of the One whom he knew intimately as his Lover . Jesus said "The Kingdom is within you". Maybe we should make time in our busy, device-filled, distracting world to consider the question: Who am I really?

annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-31633283316777080542018-01-10T16:22:00.003-08:002018-01-10T16:22:51.626-08:00Self care is not selfishSelf care is not being selfish. What is self care? It is treating ourselves like we are valuable. We often look after our cars and devices better than we look after ourselves. But if you want to be in it for the long haul you have to take care of yourself. Another name for this is self-love. People talk a lot about loving yourself. But what does this really mean? The core of what it means is that you value yourself. This shows in how you look after yourself.

The spiritual law says we are spirit (or in terms of contemporary physics: energy). We live in a body (which our physics tells us is also really vibrating" packets" of energy or atoms with large spaces in between). This body is our "earth suit" We humans cannot live in this material realm without it. We also have a soul or individual personality. This is expressed in terms of intellect, emotions and will. We are each a completely unique expression of the entire space-time continuum. Or as people term it somewhat vaguely and being politically correct expressions of : "The Universe". People are wary of the term God because He/She and the original Transgendered Being has got a bad rap. A very bad rap since denominational religion has used the concept of God to terrify people; to justify the middle man (priests, pastors, ministers almost exclusively male) and to have someone to blame besides each other for the horrible condition of much of the world and the people in it. The real issue which people skirt around is whether or not "the Universe" is conscious and whether or not"the Universe" manifests as a Person a Being, the Creator in whose image we are created and with whom we can commune. This is to be continued in a different blog.

If we are a spirit with a soul in a body we need to take care of each of these aspects of ourselves. Let us start with the body. Our bodies are living organisms. Much like dogs they are unconditionally loving and will allow us to punish them until they drop. Preventative medicine is almost a contradiction in terms. Medicine is concerned with treating symptoms and conditions with drugs and invasive physical procedures. Heart lung surgery is amazing. Where it comes to physical trauma like injury and accidents modern medicine has no parallel. There is an interesting documentary called Heal on itunes which makes this point. However apart from that we need to be able to prevent illness. People generally know about good diet. However diet and weight have become the focus of health and a giant industry. Apart from good diet (which means a little bit of all the food groups, as fresh as possible, not genetically modified and as free of chemicals as possible in smallish appropriate quantities ), the main requirement for our body is exercise. This is sadly lacking for most people. We are sedentary culture: cars TVs computers devices keep us sitting not moving. Our health: mental and physical depends on a body that moves regularly. I will blog about exercise and its importance another time.

Just as the body need good food and exercise so does the soul: we need to have good mental and emotional "food" not "junk food" consisting of "reality" TV, the violence and horror and fear- mongering of "news" (as pointed out by Skyhooks long ago) and cruelty disguised as comedy. We need good mental and emotional food: music and the poetry of songs (including rap) inspiring stories about what people achieve in sport and elsewhere, movies that encourage and uplift. Fun is great too: dancing joy laughter outdoors being with people who are kindred spirits. What about spiritual food? We need that too. What is spiritual food? Food that links us to our deepest self and the bigger picture. It is meditation it is studying the spiritual law and putting it into practice: things like what goes around comes around, be kind to others. be kind to the planet. be kind to yourself. Above all it means seeking to find out who or what our consciousnesss comes from.

Here is the kicker: since our spirit is the predominant energetic force spiritual food is the most important of all. We can have the healthiest fittest body in the cosmos and have mind and emotions tuned and focused and managed but if our spirit is inactive we are empty sad and lost.

So self care starts from the inside out: the spirit is the real self. We live in a culture that has confused spirituality with religion and thrown the baby out with the bathwater. Spiritual laws like physical laws are true whether we believe them or not. Whether or not you believe in gravity if you jump off the garage roof you will probably hurt yourself. But knowing about gravity and thrust and having the technology means you can fly.

Spiritual laws are the higher order laws our science hasn't caught up with yet but it will. Knowing these laws means you can learn to fly - without a plane. Now there's a thought........

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">Christmas
is undoubtedly the most stressful time for people. Usually the stress is evident in people about
a month before. But this year it seemed
to start around the beginning of October.
This led me to ponder on why there is so much stress at time which
should be a time of joy and peace and goodwill as the many Christmas cards re-iterate. I do not think that these are primarily
religious concepts. They are the core of
psychological well being. Without joy
peace and a good attitude towards ourselves and others (a reasonable definition
of goodwill) we are not going to be happy.

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">Being
happy is underrated. It is vital to well being, it is not a “trap” and it is
available. Happiness is a state of
mind. Everything is a mindset. If you are not happy, change your
mindset. I am going to venture a working
definition of happiness: it means
“keeping your head when all around you are losing theirs” (borrowed from If by
Rudyard Kipling). It means “steady she
goes” (a sailing term) when the storms of life come, and they will come. It
means being able to see the bigger picture and not get distracted by
details. I read this back in the 70’s
somewhere: “Don’t sweat the small stuff
and it is all small stuff.)” Whatever “it” is, will it matter in a week a
month a year or in 5 minutes? Happiness
is the result of an inner security that allows us to keep steady in the face of
life’s many and inevitable challenges.

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">So what
about Christmas? Why aren’t people happy
at Christmas? Two things come to
mind: money and family. Money first. People often spend too much money at Christmas. They max out their credit cards. They buy Christmas everything: napkins,
toothpicks (red)

presents food - all expensive. But it is not the cost of the present that makes
is important. It is the thoughtfulness
and appropriateness of the present. If
people only gauge the present by how much it cost, don’t give them
anything. The greatest gift we can give
is ourselves. This may be seen as a
cliché but it is true nevertheless. We
can give time energy and attention. In
truth this is what people value the most from each other. You don’t have to spend large amounts of
money on the people who really care about you if you don’t have it to
spend. And don’t spend large amounts of
money on people who don’t care about you because they still won’t care about you.
As the Beatles said long ago: “Can’t buy me love….”

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">What
about family? The one thing that I
notice which disturbs people the most about Christmas is that it will be a time
of getting together with family members.
Some of these they do not want to be with. It is unrealistic to expect that if you are
going to spend time with people you don’t like and hardly see the rest of the
year that you are going to enjoy their company.
And alcohol is a volatile drug.
It is a dis-inhibitor meaning it releases impulses (usually better not
released) which when we are sober we may keep a lid on. These impulses include sexuality (so watch
those office Christmas parties; you will have to face all those people again
after Christmas). And even more so:
aggression. A family gathering where
there will almost certainly be alcohol and where there are people who don’t
really like each other, drinking too
much and eating too much and confined
together for many hours in the same place, is a recipe for trouble.

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">So how
can we maximise the chances of having a good time at Christmas? One of the things I say to people is: you create your own Christmas. They now have these machines at a well-known
fast food outlet where you can create your own burgers. (I haven’t mastered them
yet!). But it is the same with
Christmas. Do what you want to do and do
it with the people you want to do it with and no one else.

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">People
use the word “have to” too loosely. I
like to say there are only 3 things we have to do: eat, breathe and as the
Americans politely say “Use the bathroom”.
And if we decide to go on a hunger strike we don’t have to eat. Everything else is a choice: a want not a
need. Yes, there are consequences to our
choices, but we do have choices. We make
our own schedules and we create our own Christmas experiences. If you are not happy with your Christmas
routine – do something different. One
thing you can do is go away for Christmas! Take your family, stay at a nice
resort! This could be a marvellous way
to spend Christmas.

<span style="font-family: "bookman old style" , serif;">Finally
how do you get happy not just at Christmas but for the whole of the year. I will write more on this another time. But a
vital key is this: Do more of what you
are passionate about and less of what you hate.

Stop! Don't change the channel just yet! There is gold in them thar hills. Don't throw the baby out with the bath water. Religion isn't spirituality. Spirituality is true knowledge, religion is stuff people make up. Mostly men as it happens. No offence: it has been a result of the patriarchal skew which infected and still infects the world and doesn't in the end benefit anyone. I think gender may just be a mistake like ageing but that is for another day....

Apart from anything else the language above is 17th century English which no one speaks and most don't understand. In contemporary terms what this is saying is something startling: :"I don't mind putting it out there: I got the Power. And I can give it to you if you want it." Or more simply "the proof is in the pudding". If the recipe is right the pudding tastes great. If not it doesn't. Very appropriate since we are approaching Christmas. And you don't want to miss the next blog: It is "How to do Christmas". This is an article I wrote for a glossy Queensland resort magazine a couple of years ago. For a while they ran psychology articles as well as many advertisements for expensive Queensland properties. Go figure.

The Gospel (literal meaning good news) is this: the power is there for anyone who knows about it and wants some. And why wouldn't you? Power to do what? Succeed. At what? Everything you do. Is this a code? Oh yes it so is. Spirit is real; Truth works; lies corrupt. Getting with the strength makes you strong. Knowing what is true and applying it makes you effective.

It is exactly like the laws of physics. They were always there. Laws of gravity and thrust applied just as much 10,000 years ago as they do today. Problem was only the birds knew about them. Though most indigenous people and many others knew about astral travel like Hindus, Buddhists and yes Christians. Paul talks about astral travel and it is mentioned in regard to Phillip and by John, Ezekiel and many others. They called it "being in the Spirit" sometimes travelling in the body and sometimes out of it. The evangelist (which literally means good news carrier so not like CNN) Jesse Duplantis amongst many others talks of a bodily experience of going to heaven. Google it for yourself. And the book and the movie Heaven is for Real is based on a true story about a 4 year old boy who visited heaven written by his father a minister. I spent 6 months learning to astral travel. by getting out of my body. After some freaky experiences like getting stuck at my feet and then not being able to move for half an hour I finally flipped out (or better rocked out since it is a rocking experience as well as a "rockin" experience) of my body on a sunny afternoon lying on the bed. I had a marvellous time and it showed me beyond doubt that I was not my body. I didn't ever feel I needed to do it again. I have since learned even easier ways to travel.

Anyway back to the Wright brothers. Eventually after running down hills in strange wooden contraptions they got off the ground. The laws were there but no one knew about them and until the 20th century no one had the technology to build airplanes And look at us now......Mars and beyond.

Spiritual laws are just like the laws of physics were: they are and have always been the same but most haven't known about them. They work for anyone who knows about them and puts them to work. So how do you know that something is true? Firstly if your inner GPS is on you will feel it. Secondly it works. If you know the spiritual laws which are the equivalent to the laws of gravity and thrust and you have the technology you can fly Religious laws doesn't work. Spiritual laws do. What I have called codes are spiritual laws: like 'what goes around comes around', like 'ask and you receive', like 'trusting your inner guidance'. The proof is in the pudding.

And to finish with the words of a contemporary prophet Paul Simon from the great song
Sounds of Silence https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--DbgPXwLlM Great version by Simon and Garfunkel.
V5
And the people bowed and prayed
To the neon god they made
And the sign flashed out its warning
In the words that it was forming
And the sign said:
"The words of the prophet are
written on the subway walls
and tenement halls
and whispered in the sounds of silence"

It's all around us folks.
This is how I found the easy way. I was walking back home on the beach track at Seaford with my beautiful German Shepherd friend Taj

It was about 2pm in the afternoon. I had been raised Catholic by parents who were atheists, my grandfather was an orthodox Jew and my grandmother was just lovely and was not religious but was Love in action. I was looking for God from the time I was about 8 years old. I attended a convent for two years which continued to feed my awareness of a spiritual realm. But it didn't seem like anyone around me really knew God so I knew they couldn't help me. I gave my heart to the Lord at a Billy Graham convention at 17 but then I attended a local church . There were 4 people sitting in the front pew asleep. At the time they seemed very old to me. The minister seemed to find his own sermon boring. I knew this wasn't the Way. I decided that Christianity was a crock and had nothing to offer me. So I wandered on many new age paths and for 10 years followed a group of American Sufis whose founder came from India. I learned a great deal about the spiritual realm as a result of all these journeys and had marvellous experiences. But I still couldn't reach God. I had hit the glass ceiling. I knew He/She/They and Beyond was there but I couldn't reach Him. I refer to Him as Him because He is my Lover as well as my God.

Anyway......as I was walking down the beach track that afternoon I stopped. I knew in my spirit that there was someone standing behind me. And more than that I knew it was Jesus. He was about 6 foot tall and had shining golden brown hair. I couldn't see his features clearly because there was so much Light emanating from His whole being. He was wearing a long white robe and I think He had sandals on. By that time spiritual experiences were common for me. I didn't see Him with my physical eyes but I sensed Him and saw Him clearly with my inner eyes. He was standing behind me and He said something which I didn't recognise at the time as the essential teaching of the Way. He said Do you want me to come into your heart? But I knew exactly what He was asking and I was ready. I said Yes from my deepest being. I felt Him move into my spiritual aura and it was as if we merged but there was no sense of intrusion or crowding and I didn't stop feeling like me. And I just continued walking home not really thinking any more about it. I didn't know my life had changed forever and I didn't know until later that I had just experienced what Jesus called being born again, being born from above and being born of the Spirit (John 3:1-6). I learned that language later.

To cut a long story short: I started watching Christian television and could suddenly understand what they were talking about. I started attending a local Pentecostal church The Lighthouse where I also learned a lot about the Way of the Spirit. It was also where I discovered Christian rock and as a child of the rock era this delighted my soul. And I could dance and play the tambourine which also delighted my soul. I believe music, dancing and song are essential to our well being. We are all Singers and Dancers in our essential beings. I ended up being ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in Crowley, Texas in the USA in 2014 by Dr Jerry Savelle and am linked with the non -denominational Heritage of Faith Ministries.

Why did I tell you all that? So you could go looking for God or Spirit (and Jesus says God is the Spirit (John 4::24)). Having had this experience no one can tell me Spirit isn't real because I know that I know that I have met Him as Jesus. It is like trying to tell me my children aren't real. I cannot pass this personal knowing on to anyone else. But the Word also says Seek and you will find. I sought and I found or more accurately I was found! Because I was certainly wandering (and wondering) and was certainly lost. I was blind but then I saw. Amazing Grace! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsCp5LG_zNE is a marvellous version by Celtic Woman, complete with haunting bagpipes.

Spirit is real. There is another realm which only our inner senses can see. All spiritual paths in all cultures talk about this realm. Our physicists tell us that the world is not at all as we see it but is a quantum flux of energy. The fundamental basis of matter according to the latest understanding of quantum physics is not some teeny tiny particle but has the fundamental properties of sound: amplitude and frequency. No news to Hindu spirituality which has said this for 10,000 years. In the beginning was the Word ....(Gen.1:1). Even better the Spirit said to me a while ago: Everything I say is a Song. The fundamental nature of everything is a Song. If there is a Song there is a Singer. We need to look for the Singer. Unless we encounter Spirit for ourselves it is just religion and the traditions of men. Literally since denominational religions are created and governed by men. There have always been and continue to be many marvellous men and women who know Spirit intimately and follow the Way within denominational religions. However denominational religions are, and have always been, infected with warped attitudes to women, as well as to animals, to the natural world and to people who belong to another denomination or culture. Denominational religion doesn't work. True Spirituality does. The Word says the traditions of men make Spirit's laws of no effect (Jesus in Mark 7:13). Once we connect with the Spirit we have access to all the true codes and He is yearning to teach us.

So if you want to do it the easy way connect to Spirit. It is so easy: The Word is near you in your mouth and in your heart. You don't have to go up to heaven to bring Him down or down to the darkest pit and bring Him up (Deuteronomy 30:14; Romans.10:8). He is so close to us we miss Him. We get confused with "the voices" in our heads. Is it me? Is it Him? Is it the negative voices within and around us? He sounds like us but says things we do not know. Eventually we learn to recognise His Voice amongst the others like being able to tell the voice of your loved one in the midst of a crowd at a party.

Practically speaking if you want to connect to Spirit this is what you do. It is simple. All Truths are simple. It is how Gloria Copeland another great teacher of the true Way did it. You say Take my life and do something with it. Out loud! So heaven and earth can hear you. It is that simple. You also then say (out loud) Give me Your Holy Spirit. We then get our first Spiritual Power Booster Pack. And there is more.......

There I am outed. I am a dedicated Follower of the Way The disciples called themselves followers of the Way. (Acts 22:4), I join all those men and women in every place who have conversations with God - daily. If this puts you off that is a pity. As a wise person said to me: Christianity is not a religion it is a Way of Life. In the last 13 years I have put it to the test. It works. Nothing else I have tried does and I have tried everything on offer. I have wandered on many new age paths, I have tried Sufism. I have tasted most of what the world offers. None of it worked. This Way does: in regard to money, health ,relationships and everything else. There have been many challenges over the last 13 years. There were previously and will continue to be as long as I am on this side of Heaven. Some of them have been very big. But now I have Someone who guides me through them into victory over lack, sicknesses and challenges from people and from life on this planet at this time. I am just at the beginning. We are always at the beginning of the Way. But now I have a Way to follow. I have Someone to follow Who brings me through every life storm every time into the clear sunshine, into joy and peace; Someone Who sustains me through the challenges so I can "walk on the water through the storm". Peter walked on the water! (Matthew 14:29). We can too! Though I have been given the gift of a rich and marvellous life, parts of it seem like a bad dream. I don't often look back. If you do you turn into a pillar of salt. This Way is the easy way. It is the only Way I have found that works. May you seek for yourselves. And if you do He will find you.annamariehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14882293601769865402noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4763307213559897532.post-51747077141881451212017-12-06T15:27:00.000-08:002017-12-06T15:27:14.624-08:00Our Inner GPSSome people call it "gut feel" some intuition some "inner prompting". It is our inner GPS only it never makes a mistake and never takes you via the busiest route or the longest way to reach your destination. Some people don't know they have an inner GPS and some don't know how to use it. It is an important code: trust your gut it is never wrong. We are taught not to trust ourselves. This is the false code. A large sample study by Bessel Van Der Kolk world -renowned traumatologist and researcher, is discussed published in his marvellous book about traumatology "The Body Keeps Score". He concludes that most children are developmentally traumatised. That means most families don't function. That is not rocket science. We only have to look around us.

If you grow up in a family that doesn't function right and most of us do according to this research, ,you will have been taught not to trust yourselves. This is a false code. It is further reinforced by being disconnected from our bodies and emotions through dissociation or "zoning". Dissociation is one of the 4 stress responses governed by the hind brain also called the reptilian brain or early brain. Dissociation allows us to "buffer" ourselves from our emotions and is a vital and effective survival response available to infants and animals. If our first carer doesn't bond with us an infant we experience traumatically stressful emotions which can kill us as infants. They can send us crazy as young children or so fragment us as adults that we cannot function as we want to. Infants do not yet have the frontal lobe development required to regulate their emotions. After the Berlin Wall came down there were babies in orphanages in Rumania who were apparently never touched and had been the horrors of the war who turned their face to the wall and died of a broken heart. Others who could dissociate survived though they would be depressed and suffer from other psychological problems like anxiety as they grew.

Dissociation seems to be a response generally available to animals but not to all humans. . According to Peter Levine in his book Healing Trauma animals in the wild don't get Post Traumatic Stress Syndrome. However in captivity they do. Children growing up in dysfunctional families are essentially "in captivity". If you can dissociate you will survive but you will disconnect from your body where the emotions manifest and therefore also from your inner GPS. The emotions continue to register and to be stored in your body. They remain there until they are released. Knowing how to do this is the essence of healing from trauma. As the person grows they either consciously or unconsciously remain terrified of their emotions. Since dissociation is unconscious they are unaware of having dissociated. They do not know how to ressociate. They remain "zoned" not present to themselves or grounded in their bodies and suffer accordingly. People will say "I don't know who I am."; " I feel like there is a big hole inside where my self should be";" I feel like I am looking at life through a plate glass window". So the inner guidance is not able to be utilised. If people are aware of it they will ignore it. They may say I knew I shouldn't be getting married to this person as I walked down the aisle but I ignored it. And my parents said you have to get married what will people think and the invitations have been done, And there begins another long turbulent dysfunctional relationship with dissociated children perpetuating the problems in their lives.
Bottom line Learn to listen to your inner promptings. They are very close to you all the time. Learn to act on them. If you put them to the test you will find they are never wrong. This is a true code.
Talk to me.

I was talking with the Spirit about Love the other morning. I felt an inner prompt (the next code to break) to look up the lyrics of "The Power of Love" by Huey Lewis and the News on Youtube,: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KCkgYhtz64U the background song to the sweet and quirky "Back to the Future" movies. Talking about songs as background I came across a new series produced and hosted by Dwayne Johnson called "Soundtracks: the Songs that Defined History" which I haven't watched yet. Dwayne Johnson apparently has a love a music (and a great voice) and a fascinating troubled and hugely successful life. Seeing him as the Tooth Fairy is a delight for he is a wonderful comedian as well as beautiful to look at.

The songs we love are the soul singing to itself. They are mostly love songs to life. They were the soundtrack of our lives. There are many academic dissertations on football. However I am not sure that the poetry and power in the music we love is truly appreciated except by the people who turned up to hear the Oils at Hanging Rock and all the other people who have music in their lives. I didn't go but I was dancing with a group of people to the Hornets (a wonderful Australian rock and blues band who are worth checking out) at the Community Hall of the small coastal town in which I live. That is the power of Love.

We have one word in English for love: I love pizza I love my dog I love the Spirit. Who by the way told me about 2 years ago to call Him Papa. Spirit is both male and female (as our hormones tell us we all are) and neither. Spirit is not trans-gender Spirit is beyond gender. Gender itself could be some sort of corruption in the gene pool. I have impeccable feminist credentials having been there at the very first brave meeting of 50 women (only women!) at Mt Beauty in 1971. However I am going to refer to Spirit as He. For He is my Beloved. Another wonderful song from the stage play Kismet comes to mind "For this is my Beloved", the lyrics of which are also worth checking out.
Apparently the Inuit people have 50 different words for snow. Food for thought.
Bottom Line: Love is the greatest power there is. One of the great codes to break is: What is Love really and how do you exercise it? I am just a raw beginner in this area but there are some things I know Love is not. It is not wussy Hallmark touchy feely love that doesn't come from the heart. I know that as someone said the other day in regard to how they felt about loving their 6 year old "It is so easy". I know if we have Love it flows. I know you can't fake it. I know it not only makes the other person feel good but it makes us feel good. When my small powerhouse Queensland Heeler rescue girl Grace Honey Taylor loves me she does so with her whole being. Everything wriggles and moves and she strives to get as close as she can and show her delight in every way she can especially when we have our first hello in the morning. Above is Gracie when she first arrived. She was found wondering and wandering having been dumped and she was about 5 months old. Love brought her to me.

I know that Love means you choose to please the one you love as much as you can as often as you can. Love makes you feel warm inside. Love covers a multitude of sins. What that means is that you forgive and forgive and above all forget and forget. If you haven't forgotten you haven't forgiven. Love comes from the heart not the head. Love means you never let go and never give up. Love is not liking. You can want to "smack someone upside the head" but still Love them. Love and anger don't cancel out, they are not like sums. Would love to hear your thoughts.

Love has to be practiced and we get better and better the more we practice. You can "fake it till you make it". You can act with love even when you don't feel loving or think loving thoughts. This is not pretending: this is how you crank the motor to get it started. Because deep in us there is a source of Love that is endless.

Here is a song of the heart that best expresses what I know to this point:

An Ode to Love

He pours

He yields

He holds

He breathes

He shares

He takes

He draws

He makes

He sees

He hears

He knows

He gives

He walks

He talks

He laughs

He lives

He’s mine

I’m His

We are as One

Swaying together

Following the Sun.

The wind it can blow

The rain it can beat

But My Love holds me
close

I can hear His heart
beat.

He is My shelter

From every storm

He is My Beloved

Whose arms

Keep me warm

A code breaker is someone who wants to work out how to do Life. If you know the codes you win. If you don't you lose. It's not complicated but someone has to tell you. I am going to share with you some of what I have learned about code-breaking and hopefully you will share some of what you have learned about code breaking. Many heads are better than one.

I am going to talk about codes in important areas of life and I am going to start with something we all think about a lot: money. The true currency of life is ultimately not money it is attention. And whatever we put our attention on we merge with. If we focus a lot on money we become obsessed with money and the more we chase it and hold on to it the more elusive it becomes and the more tired we become. One of the major codes we are taught about money is this: if you want money you go for it at any cost and hold onto it for dear life.. This is a false code and if you practice it it won't work and you don't win you lose But the true code the one that works is this: the more you give the more you get. This is reflected in the natural principle of sowing and reaping. If the farmer sits on his or her porch with their bags of corn in the shed saying "I have this amazing amount of corn seeds in the shed - it is full to overflowing. Look at my shed it is just bursting at the seams. But there is nothing growing in my fields." And you say: "Well, did you plant any seed?" and they go No. If you don't put seed in the ground, meaning if you do not share and give (not only money but also money) as well as time energy attention information you will get steadily more poor. Howard Hughes, one of the wealthiest men in the world, lived on the top floor of a hotel which he owned, in Las Vegas, most of which he owned as well. He had had an enormously successful life making movies and designing and flying planes: he was gifted, talented and handsome. He had it all. He died on the top floor of his hotel with a dislocated shoulder surrounded by people who were not family or friends who only wanted to get their hands on his money. He apparently hadn't left the hotel for many years. He died in a distressed state. He had all the money in the world and had nothing..

The bottom line is this: the true code in regard to money is simple: Sow and you will reap. Sow a seed of corn and it will grow a plant that has many more seeds of corn. The same applies to money. But also to any other thing we have to give: time, energy, attention, love, friendship, hope. And money. It is a simple law of cause and effect also called karma and known commonly as "what goes around comes around". We reap what we sow and don't reap if we don't sow.

Now the proviso is that we have to sow in good ground. And to do that we have to consult our inner guidance, our inner GPS to work out where to sow. That same guidance will also tell us when and how much to sow. But that is for another blog.....
